This Blue Moon Illuminates What Lies Under the Surface

On the 30th or 31st of May, depending on what time zone you’re in, we have a Full Moon shining in the nakshatra of Anuradha, in the heart of sidereal Scorpio.

Scorpio is the natural eighth house, a house that rules transformation and rebirth, occult mysteries and hidden matters. It is one of the three water signs, its waters being like a dark pond of hidden caves. Places where what lies beneath the surface is more important than the surface itself.

Even though the moon is in deep debilitation here, it is here to shine its healing light to help churn the emotions within us in order to start a process. This is the start of a fortnight to be inspired to gently look into what is sitting beneath the surface, to see what needs to come up and be confronted.

Being in the star of Anuradha, the star of devotion, it could bring up themes of where we have been overly loyal or overly attached. This full moon is helping shine light on where we can disentangle ourselves. Yes, at the present moment it is uncomfortable, but what if staying the same becomes more and more uncomfortable and destructive over time?

The natural eighth house is full of uncertainty and the unknown, but it’s about embracing being in that temporary in-between state where the old hasn’t yet been shed and the new hasn’t been born just yet.

Mars, the natural ruler of this sign, is sitting in its other sign of exaltation in Aries, giving its eighth aspect. This is amplifying all the themes of transformation to help you be courageous and ask yourself what you have been avoiding simply to stay in the old comfort zone.

The moment has never been better to be honest with yourself and realize you are only holding yourself back because of a little pain and discomfort.

So, I leave you on a path of trust and love as you allow the energies of this full moon to transform you.
